The Easter Bunny never needed doors. He squished flat, slid under the crack, and popped up on the other side. Bounce. Bounce. Bounce.
The year is 2077, and the world is perfect now. Seamless ships. Hermetic houses. Walls without one single flaw. Nothing leaks. Nothing gaps.
Nobody banned Easter. Nobody had to. It got engineered away by accident — because you can’t squish to zero.
He searched the whole world for one imperfection. Fresh caulk. Proud builders. Tight seams. And for the first time ever, the Easter Bunny just stood outside.
Then a kid picked up a piece of chalk and drew an egg on their perfect wall. And the drawn egg became an opening — bigger than any crack he had ever needed.
A crack is an accident. A drawn egg is a choice. By morning the city glowed with hand-drawn eggs on perfect walls, and Easter came back bigger than before — because this time, everyone let it in.
P.S. — the bunny’s own house? All cracks, on purpose. Everybody needs at least one way for the strange thing to get in.
